Teak Deck Clean Up

When we purchased 'Charm' the decks were basically sound but in need of a good clean.

We're not certain how the deck was laid but we suspect it is Iroko (could be teak...) on plywood with black synthetic caulking.

During Winter 2012 I did a lot of research on how to clean the decks up as they were looking distinctly uncared for following a few winters ashore and open to the elements.  I eventually decided to go with 'Teak Wonder' products, mainly because of the write ups I'd seen about them and the fact that there were some really good 'you tube' clips of the products being used.

The deck had started out in this state:

However, after using the Teak Wonder cleaner, brightener and finish they came up like new:

I'm religiously treating the deck every 6-8 weeks to keep it looking nice and the great thing is that even when the decks are wet they are not slippery - bargain!

    1. Thanks for your feedback :-). We sold Charm last year but up until the day we sold her the decks were still looking the same as the photos above. I religiously kept up with the Teak Wonder finish during the season then did the ‘clean’ and ‘brightener’ steps at the start over the years.
Brilliant products! Not the cheapest but certainly worth the money in our opinion (and the new owners as they are keeping up with the regime!)
